Plastics machinery maker Wittmann Group has expanded its production facility at Vienna in Austria where it makes a variety of ancillary products including its Feedmax conveyors and Silmax dryers. The company has added a further 1,500 m2 of production space for its sheet metal forming activities and has installed a new 2.5 kW laser cutter capable of cutting stainless steel sheet up to 8 mm thick.
«Our new sheet metal forming shop in Vienna is a considerable investment for the future. It represents a further and positive development for the Wittmann Group as a whole» says Wittmann Group general manager Michael Wittmann. The move comes just weeks after the company officially inaugurated its expanded Wittmann Battenfeld injection machinery manufacturing operation at Kottingbrunn.
