The product portfolio of Vestamid HTplus just keeps growing: Evonik Industries is offering its PA6T and PA10T based polyphthalamide (PPA) products in an ever-growing number of compounds. The new products include a variant with a glass-fiber content of 45%. The biobased PA10T is even more efficient than the PA6T: it’s easier to process, has better mechanical properties and offers a lower water uptake. The new reinforcement capabilities of the basic polyphthalamides take into account the many highly demanding automotive applications: coal, mineral, glass fiber, and mineral fiber reinforcements can be used to create virtually any combination of properties.
In the electronics industry, new types are available for use in laser direct structuring. The program also includes materials in Fire Protection Class V0 with a 0.4 mm wall thickness.
